Charting the Course: Setting Intentions for My 28th Year

Hello again!

Thank you for joining me on my journey of reflection as I approach my 28th birthday. Reflecting on the past year has given me a profound sense of clarity and gratitude, and now, I’m excited to look ahead. Today, I want to share how I’m using this newfound clarity to set meaningful intentions for the year to come.

The Power of Intentions

Setting intentions is about more than just making resolutions; it’s about aligning my actions with my values and dreams. Intentions are the guiding stars that help navigate the path forward, keeping me focused and motivated. They remind me of what truly matters and help me stay grounded amidst the chaos of everyday life.

My Intentions for Year 28

As I step into this new year, here are the intentions I’m setting to guide my journey:

1. Embrace Growth and Learning

Growth has been a constant theme in my reflections, and I want to carry that forward. I intend to embrace every opportunity for learning, whether it’s through new photography techniques, business strategies, or personal development. Each challenge will be met with curiosity and a willingness to grow.

2. Cultivate Gratitude Daily

Gratitude has the power to transform our outlook on life. I intend to make gratitude a daily practice, acknowledging the beauty in both the big and small moments. This will help me stay positive and appreciative, even on the toughest days.

3. Nurture My Creativity

As a photographer, creativity is at the heart of my work. I intend to carve out time for creative exploration, whether it’s experimenting with new photography styles, starting a personal project, or simply doodling with my kids. Keeping the creative spark alive is essential for my happiness and fulfillment.

4. Prioritize Self-Care and Balance

With two little ones and a growing business, it’s easy to neglect self-care. This year, I intend to prioritize my well-being by setting aside time for rest, exercise, and activities that bring me joy. Finding balance is key to being the best version of myself for my family and clients.

5. Foster Deeper Connections

Relationships are the foundation of a meaningful life. I intend to nurture my connections with family, friends, and clients. This means being present, listening actively, and showing appreciation for the people in my life. Building deeper connections will enrich my life in countless ways.

6. Pursue Passion Projects

There are always projects I dream about but never seem to find the time for. This year, I intend to make those passion projects a priority. Whether it’s a personal photography series, writing a book, or volunteering for a cause I care about, I want to dedicate time to pursuits that ignite my passion.

7. Live with Intentionality

Intentional living is about making choices that align with my values and long-term goals. I intend to be mindful of my actions, ensuring they reflect the life I want to create. This means saying no to what doesn’t serve me and wholeheartedly embracing what does.

Looking Ahead with Hope and Excitement

As I set these intentions, I’m filled with a sense of hope and excitement for what the year holds. I know there will be challenges and unexpected twists, but with these guiding principles, I feel prepared to navigate whatever comes my way.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support and connection mean the world to me. Here’s to a year of growth, gratitude, creativity, and intentional living. Let’s make it the best one yet!

Cheers,

Jenna Elrod
